Security Policy & Vulnerability Disclosure

We value the security and privacy of the YABP ecosystem. Learn how to report vulnerabilities responsibly.

Last Updated: October 2026 48-Hour Response Commitment Responsible Disclosure

Mandatory Developer Agreement

All contributors and member projects must uphold strict security hygiene: zero telemetry scripts, safe dependencies, prompt resolution of known vulnerabilities, and compliance with our Terms of Use and Contributing Guidelines.

1 Supported Versions

We actively maintain and provide security updates for the current release of this platform and repository:

Version Support Status Deployment Model
latest (main branch) Supported Continuous deployment via Netlify Edge
legacy tags Unsupported Archival only. Please sync with main branch.

2 Reporting a Vulnerability

We take all vulnerability reports seriously. If you discover a security flaw or vulnerability within YABP infrastructure or listed tools, please disclose it privately.

Do Not Open Public GitHub Issues for Security Bugs:

Publicly filing security vulnerabilities exposes active users before a patch can be developed. Always email reports directly to our designated security contact.

What to include in your security report:

  • Vulnerability Description: A comprehensive explanation of the vulnerability and its potential attack vector.
  • Reproduction Steps: Detailed step-by-step instructions or minimal proof-of-concept (PoC) code to reproduce the flaw.
  • Impact Assessment: Expected impact on end-user privacy, platform availability, or code execution integrity.

3 Response Commitment

Our maintainers are committed to transparent and swift security remediation:

  • 48-Hour Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your report within 48 hours and provide an initial severity assessment.
  • Resolution Commitment: We will work diligently on validating a patch. We ask reporters to allow reasonable time for a fix before public disclosure.
  • Community Advisory: Once remediated, we will issue a security advisory in the repository releases and credit the researcher for their responsible disclosure.

4 Security Standards for Member Tools

Directory members must adhere to strict ecosystem hygiene:

  • Zero obfuscated client code or disguised payload scripts.
  • No third-party advertising networks or tracking pixels.
  • Enforce strict Content-Security-Policy (CSP) headers where applicable.
  • Regularly audit and update open-source dependencies.
